Kathmandu Stupa PDF Cross Stitch Pattern - Beautiful Buddhist Stupa based of one in Kathmandu, Nepal

This cross stitch is an image based off a stupa near Durbar Square in Kathmandu, Nepal with prayer flags. The back stitch on top of the flags doesn't always sit flush with the flags stitches to give the impression of the flags moving in the wind.

Stitching with 3 strands makes the image really pop on the chart, but they look equally good in 2 strands (only use 2 strands for fabric in 18 count or higher). Backstitch uses 1 strand regardless of the fabric count.

The measurements for this chart are:

14 count Aida - 11.9 in x 7.1 in / 30.1 cm x 18.1 cm

16 count Aida - 10.4 in x 6.3 in / 26.4 cm x 15.9 cm

18 count Aida - 9.2 in x 5.6 in / 23.4 cm x 14.1 cm

12 count Aida - 13.8 in x 8.3 in / 35.1 cm x 21.2 cm

Pattern PDFs include:
